Enterprise T2/T5/T10 accounts have an additional security level feature. Hosted~FTP~ provides a password policy setting on an account level affecting all users. The feature is managed by the account administrator. The setting forces all users of the account to maintain a complex password level of difficulty chosen by the account administrator.
The password policy can be customized under the Configure button located beside the Enable password policy checkmark box. The administrator can configure the minimum password length, the requirement of at least one uppercase letter, the requirement of at least one lowercase letter, the requirement of at least one number, and the requirement of at least one non-alphanumeric character.
*Note: The password policy is forced upon existing users when a password reset is made
Please view the instructions below for the account administrator to enable and configure the password policy for all users of the account.
|Login as the account admin > Setup Tab|
|Scroll down to the Options and check the box labeled Enable password policy.
Click on the Configure button
|Select a minimum password length (min. of 6 characters)
Customize the requirement of uppercase, lowercase, numerical, and non-alphanumeric characters using the checkboxes and save.
